The first impression
Looking up, the porch of the main building appeared - an architectural work imbued with classic French style nestled in vibrant green surroundings. The two-story building features graceful arched roofs that gradually blend into the canopy of leaves. Under the shade of tall palm trees, lush tropical gardens cover every inch of land. Right here, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, showcasing the professionalism of Vietnamese hospitality.
Just a few minutes later, I was leisurely relaxing in an elegant lounge infused with Indochine charm. This space opens up to a breezy first-floor porch with breathtaking views, comfortable seating, a bar, and an on-site menu. The staff brought me a cool refreshing drink, a warm towel, a lovely pastry, and a fragrant flower. Accompanied by the soothing sound of ocean waves, all the stress and fatigue from the journey seemed to melt away, making room for a sense of relaxation and peace that pervaded the atmosphere.

A blue ocean oasis in Phú Quốc
Fully cradled in the emerald waters of the Gulf of Thailand, Phú Quốc has long been a highlight of Vietnam's island tourism, thanks to its endless stretches of beaches, abundant seafood, vibrant sunsets, and a relaxed pace of life.
Coming here, travelers can experience a multitude of engaging activities: immersing themselves in the clear, tropical sea, scuba diving, taking boat tours, visiting pepper gardens and traditional fish sauce production facilities, exploring night markets, or discovering the local culture at the main harbor. However, if one wishes to set aside the daily hustle to retreat into an elegant, luxurious, and nostalgic Indochine atmosphere, travelers can find true tranquility and unspoiled natural beauty at La Veranda Resort.
La Veranda Resort - Timeless beauty
Occupying a prime location on the western coast of the island, La Veranda allows guests to easily travel to sightseeing spots and experience various island activities. La Veranda offers a full suite of amenities in a cozy, adequately private space - neither overly ostentatious nor overwhelming like other large-scale resorts.
Here, I found a crystal-clear, beautiful swimming pool, a luxurious spa center, a modern fitness center, and, of course, an inviting stretch of fine sand along a broad beach. The resort exudes elegance in every detail. From the gardens and buildings to the spatial layout, everything harmonizes to create an exceptionally serene atmosphere.
No matter where I stood, I could capture magnificent views: from the beach, the pool, and the main building's porch to the private balcony of my own room. These open spaces, alongside tree-shaded pathways, lush gardens, and ideal spots for relaxing, softly remind guests to slow down and leisurely sip a cup of coffee.
The main building is designed with two stories. The spacious French colonial-style lounge is located on the first floor, wrapped by a porch with an open railing. Here, professional bartenders are always ready to serve both classic cocktails and tropical flavors - a perfect setting for conversation or losing oneself in a wandering train of thought.
I walked up to the second floor - a high-end restaurant. After casually making my choices from a menu that harmoniously blends local and international flavors, I could gaze out over the beach and the vast expanse of the Gulf of Thailand. Notably, as dusk falls, this spot offers a magnificent sunset view.
The resort offers a wide variety of room categories: from rooms situated in multi-story accommodation blocks with garden or ocean views, to private villas with dedicated porches facing the beach directly. All room types convey the feeling of a classic French bedroom. From the wood materials and floor tiles to the louvered shutters, furniture, and decorative items, every detail is meticulously crafted with high quality, paired with luxuriously appointed bathrooms. It feels like staying in a room within a noble private estate. In particular, all villas feature a splendid, regal four-poster bed.

A peaceful day at La Veranda
Practicing yoga on a mirror-like clean floor beneath a high ceiling, amid the fragrant space of a flower garden? Or strolling along a sun-drenched beach, listening to the sound of waves beneath one's feet? Whether choosing a gentle physical workout, a way to relieve stress, or a quiet moment for inner reflection, any of these is enough to awaken all one’s senses. Afterward, I enjoyed breakfast in the main building and then read a book by the pool without a care.
Next was a relaxing massage treatment. I strolled along the small path leading to the spa and fitness center - a facility elegantly and luxuriously designed, fully equipped, and operated with great professionalism. After lunch came a short nap accompanied by the gentle rustling of ocean waves. In the afternoon, I could immerse myself in the cool water, take another stroll around the resort, and as sunset arrived, enjoy a romantic dinner overlooking the sea.
Vietnam offers an abundance of experiences for every style of vacation and exploration. Among them, Phú Quốc is an unmissable destination - an essential pillar of Vietnam's island tourism. Experience La Veranda at least once to fully feel its historic charm, romantic grounds, and exquisite cuisine - where a perfect holiday haven blends seamlessly with the warmth and professionalism of the Vietnamese people.
