Building a green, world-class tourism brand
Following local and national governmental restructuring, Lâm Đồng has the largest land area of any province. This provides numerous opportunities to foster a green, sustainable economy, including: connecting the golden forests of the Central Highlands with the silver seas of the coastal region maximizing high-tech agricultural advantages; building a unique, attractive, world-class tourism brand; constructing a synchronized transportation infrastructure.
Mr. Đinh Văn Tuấn, Vice Chairman of the Lâm Đồng Provincial People's Committee, during a meeting and exchange with press and media professionals in the province, affirmed that Lâm Đồng is a land rich in potential and cultural identity, with increasingly favorable conditions to become a fresh, attractive destination for domestic and international tourists. Through the companionship and support of press agencies, journalists, KOLs, and the business community, the province can turn challenges into opportunities by focusing on promoting overland travel routes and new experiential journeys, thereby providing visitors with more opportunities to discover new spaces and values in Lâm Đồng.
Lâm Đồng will prioritize resolving investment bottlenecks, finalizing general master plans - including tourism planning - and investing in completing infrastructure and transport connectivity. In the near future, the province plans to increase international and charter flights to Liên Khương Airport and establish connections with Phan Thiết Airport.
In the immediate term, from March to August 25, while Liên Khương Airport temporarily closes for repairs and runway upgrades to ensure safety and expand operational capacity, instead of gazing at clouds through airplane windows, visitors now have the opportunity to touch every plateau along breathtaking road routes. It is a journey connecting the wind and sunshine of Phan Thiết with the chill of Gia Nghĩa, where golden forests and silver seas intertwine in a green symphony.
From March until the end of August 2026, Lâm Đồng is launching a special stimulus program featuring inspiring combo tourism packages. Travelers can choose to take National Route 20 (Quốc lộ 20), feeling the fog floating across Bảo Lộc Pass, or experience the expressway linking blue seas with vast primeval forests via the spectacular Đại Ninh interchange.
With the goal of welcoming 25.75 million visitors (including 1.58 million international tourists) in 2026, Lâm Đồng aims not only for a revenue target of 71.5 trillion VND, but more importantly, to build a green, high-class, and culturally rich tourism brand. Investing in airport infrastructure upgrades and developing road routes are all part of the vision to turn the province into a region of sustainable growth for the entire country.
Lâm Đồng is oriented toward building a green tourism brand highlighted by the theme “Blue Seas - Thousand Flowers - Vast Forests”, while accelerating digital transformation, preserving indigenous culture, and enhancing human resource quality. Alongside this, priority will be given to removing bottlenecks in planning, infrastructure, and transport connectivity, gradually expanding international flights once aviation infrastructure is finalized.
In addition, the province will strongly develop eco-tourism, resort & wellness tourism, cultural tourism, and adventure sports. Destination marketing will be intensified in key domestic and international markets (such as Northeast Asia, Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia), alongside digitizing tourism resource data to best serve information dissemination, promotion, and support for tourists visiting and staying in Lâm Đồng.
Transport connectivity maintaining growth momentum
Mr. Nghiêm Đình Hiếu, Director of the Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center of Lâm Đồng Province, stated that the province is launching a communication campaign to promote Lâm Đồng as a destination with diverse and compelling sites and activities. Through this, beautiful travel itineraries and outstanding attractions of Lâm Đồng will be introduced. Multimedia communications will be enhanced to inform and guide tourists on convenient road routes connecting to key tourist areas and destinations across Lâm Đồng.
The tourism sector is producing picturesque route videos and tour maps connecting key sites in Lâm Đồng, while strengthening digital communications across social media, media channels, and websites to guide travelers in choosing suitable transit options. Tourism stakeholders are also distributing these guides at local attractions, hotels, bus ticket counters, and other service venues to reach both residents and visitors.

During the temporary suspension of operations at Liên Khương Airport, visitors can choose to fly to Cam Ranh Airport (Khánh Hòa) and then travel by car up to Đà Lạt. For travelers from Hồ Chí Minh City and the Southeastern provinces, they can travel along National Route 20 (Quốc lộ 20) via Bảo Lộc to Đà Lạt.
When the airport resumes operations, to proactively attract tourists, the Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center of Lâm Đồng Province will coordinate with Liên Khương Airport and airlines to organize promotion programs targeting international flight routes. The center will host tourism promotion programs introducing tours, routes, destinations, and tourism products of Lâm Đồng to key domestic markets such as Hồ Chí Minh City, Cần Thơ, Đà Nẵng, Hà Nội City and international markets. Notably, as part of the survey, media, and promotion program for Lâm Đồng travel routes and destinations, alongside press briefings and meetings with tourism businesses, a survey trip along the route connecting Đà Lạt - Phan Thiết will be organized. This includes visiting tourist spots along the “Lâm Đồng - Blue Sea” connection, such as the Làng chài xưa Fish Sauce Museum, entertainment areas within NovaWorld Phanthiet, Queen Farm Dragon Fruit Farm, Phan Thiết Market, enjoying seafood at Cây Bàng Restaurant, and experiencing services at Lotus Resort...
Lâm Đồng is waiting for you - not just at a destination, but in every single step of the journey. Let your trip to Lâm Đồng this season be a slow-motion film, where every road brings new discoveries of nature and local people.
